Tom & Jordan's
Grey Envisage Flush Windows & French Door
Giving a historical family cottage a breath of new life.
It can often be difficult to update a historic structure without losing its charm, however our Envisage windows made easy work of the task.
Tom has recently come into ownership of a family cottage that has been in his family for generations since his great grandparents. Now that the cottage is his responsibility, Tom contacted us to help him leave his own mark on the family property.
Fortunately, Tom was able to provide us with photographs of the cottage from the 1950’s which we were able to use as a guide to find the correct window replacements. After thoughtful consideration, we recommended our Envisage flush casement windows would offer up-to-date construction in a similar style to the original windows. Our Envisage range of windows offers unique accessories such as monkeytail handles and coloured bars which Tom decided to employ for an authentic touch.
Tom and Jordan often enjoy playing host to their friends and family, and Tom asked if his current kitchen could be extended into the garden to add living space with views of the gorgeous exterior. We were able to convert the current kitchen window into a set of striking French doors to meet Tom’s request.
In and out only four hours later…
Tom and Jordan share their family cottage with their two dogs as well as several chickens. Comparing photographs from 1930 to how it looks post-restoration it is easy to see that not much has changed beyond a small modern touch. The home has much less noise pollution now and the home remains warmer with less heating necessary. Tom can be assured that his family who previously called the cottage home would be proud of the projects he has completed.
