3 Home Improvement Projects That You Should Be Wary About Taking On
Last month, we published a blog post that offered you some insight into the hot new home trends of 2021, which you may be looking to incorporate into your home improvement plans.

There’s a strong possibility of these ideas adding value to your home, and that’s always a good thing.
What wouldn’t be so good is if you made ‘improvements’ that affected its value, and there are some projects that can do that.
This is just 3 of them:
Removing a bedroom
You may have been left with a spare bedroom due to one of your children moving out, and not be using the space, other than when the occasional guest comes to stay.
But if you don’t tend to have house guests, you could be pondering knocking through the bedroom. That would not be an advisable move!
Reducing the number of bedrooms in your house is almost certain to knock down your house price, so keep it, and get use out of the room.
Having a full re-carpeting
Out of necessity, you may have to replace the current carpet in one of your rooms because it’s too worn and covered in marks and stains that are impossible to get out.
That’s fine, but we would warn against re-carpeting everywhere with the same new carpet as your flooring may not appeal to everyone.
Some buyers will be very reluctant to shell out on their own choice of flooring for the whole house because it could prove very costly.
Digging up a lawn
You will be in the driving seat for a sale if your home has a garden as gardens are very much in demand after the pandemic.
With that in mind, it would be a mistake to lose your lawn at this time, which you may be tempted to do if it is unruly and hard to maintain.
If you are fixed on removing it, we would use an artificial lawn to replace it. You could easily persuade people that it’s the real thing.
